My DD has been sleeping in her carseat for weeks now. Doctor said it was ok, but now that we know she has torticollis, it really isn't anymore. But the reason she sleeps in the carseat is because she hates sleeping in the bassinet! So, basically, I've just been trying to put her in the bassinet first every night, but she still just wakes up after about 2 minutes. SO, the physical therapist recommended putting her in when she is still awake so she isn't like, shocked when she wakes up in a different spot than she's used to. I'm just going to put her in it as often as possible, awake or asleep I think. I am also going to put the basket on the floor next to my bed where the carseat usually goes. Any other tips?

Re: Tips for tranistioning to bassinet...
Ditto the suggestion to swaddle. Our DS wouldn't sleep anywhere but on us or in his swing. We started swaddling him and putting him the bassinet once he was already asleep. We often start him off in the swing and then move him to the bassinet. He has been sleeping in the bassinet for weeks.
