Does m/s come and go?

With my first pregnancy, I did have M/S, but not too bad.  It was mainly caused by brushing my teeth.

Well, this time it is horrible!  It is the minute my feet hit the floor I am running and feel nauseous most of the day.  My doctor did prescribe Zofran, and I finally filled it and took one yesterday after not keeping down any liquids or solids for most of the day.

My question is, how normal is it for you to have major M/S for 5-6 days, then wake up one day and feel better?  Today, I have not been sick at all....and I have not taken a zofran since noon yesterday.  Can the M/S symptoms vary from day to day?  TIA!

Re: Does m/s come and go?

  • Mine is very day to day. For example, last Monday I didn't keep a single thing down, since then I've thrown up maybe twice.

  • Mine comes and goes.  I feel sick in the morning on most days, but then I'll go two days in a row feeling pretty good.  So far the M/S has always come back, so I think it's normal.

  • Mine has been really odd. Almost exactly week to week. Week 6 - horrible. Week 7- nothing. Week 8- horrible. Week 9- nothing. I am hoping I stay in the "nothing" range longer than a week this time!
  • As soon as I say this, I know it'll change...

but I've yet to throw up. I am nauseated more at night than in the morning. It has been the worst ever this week, and I thought I was clear because most people who have it get it before week 8.

  • Mine comes and goes, moring coming than going.
  • Mine's weird, I had it mildly for a week around week 6, then at the end of week 6 I was fine. I felt great for about a week. Almost to the beginning of week 8 though it hit bad, and it was bad for a couple days. Now its off and on. Some days I am fine and can eat anything, other days I feel sick all day no matter what I eat.
  • Mine comes and goes, also.  I think that this is normal.  I have yet to throw up...(knock on wood).

  • Heck yeah it varies for me.  I had a mostly decent day yesterday and never had to take a Zofran.  I even had a huge appetite which I haven't had in weeks.  Woke up this morning, drank some OJ and couldn't get that Zofran down fast enough!  Thankfully I took it in time to avoid vomiting.

    Totally.

When mine first started in the 5th week, it would be for a day or two, then okay for a day or two. It got worse in week 6, where I would feel terrible for 3-4 days, then have a day where it was bearable.

It's been unbearable for 5 days straight and I'm dying for a relief day.
