PCOS ladies, a quick question.

When you started on Metformin (i'm on 1500mg daily)  Did you start ovulating on your own then?

 Since stopping BCP pills, i've only ovulated once on my own in a year, which was before I started Metformin.  Since we're in a holding pattern for the next step waiting for the urologist and i'm still taking it I'm wondering if i'm ovulating or not.  I can't temp due to my work schedule ( i work nights).  I have  a feeling I did last week..but didn't know if metformin was probably helping that along.

    I started Metformin 4/12/10 and never ovulated on my own.  I did get a positive OPK this cycle with Femara so I'm hoping that means I ovulated.

    Yay!  That's great!

    I ovulated on Femara too.  But right now we can't do anything...and may just have to go straight to IVF due to MFI.  bummer...  I guess I was kinda hoping that I'd ovulate a few times on my own and have a few hail mary's before diving into IVF.  We'd have to take a break to save up the money anyway.

    I have been on metformin since May, and I am still waiting for something to happen. I was told to give it 6 months to see if it works, then move on to the next stage.

    I took Met for 9 months with no ovulation results. I'm on my 3rd cycle of Clomid now. I've been unresponsive thus far.

    I've been on it since I came off BCP. I've ovulated on my own only three times. Good luck!

    I've been on Metformin since 2007, and I've never ovulated on my own.

    I started other medication when I started Metformin, so my ovulation was always artifically created.  This month is the first month that I've only been on Metformin, so I should know if a couple weeks if I had a normal cycle on my own (I decided not to chart for ovulation this month, just waiting on AF).
    Stopped BCP 7/08 BFP 11/09 - Natural MC 12/09 PCOS 2/10 - Began taking Metformin Femara with trigger from 3/10-7/10 IUI#1 7/10 - BFN Taking a break while I work on my Masters... Now cycling on my own with Metformin. BFP 2/18/11!!! Lilypie First Birthday tickers
