8 months old - no finger foods yet?

Anyone else out there not started finger foods??  We just finally trying stage 2 foods.  I feel so behind but I know DS will go at his own pace.

    We're not even in stage 2 foods yet. Our doctor said not to change anything until her 9 month appointment. So it's just formula and stage 1 baby food twice per day for us. No finger foods!

    Good...I'm glad I'm not the only one.  Didnt think 9 months would be too late for finger foods ....DS started at 6 months on solids anyways so I figure we would be a little behind others that started at 4-5 months.

    DD gets thickened formula and one jar of either stage 1 or 2. She often only gets about 2 oz of the food. I will let her work at her own pace.

    I think too many people rush their babies with introducing foods, like it's a contest or something.  DS isn't 8 mos yet but we are jut on stage 1 & 2 foods.  He occasionally gets some fruit in his mesh feeder but he doesn't really dig it that much so we don't do it a lot. DS will let me know when he's ready to move on.

    That's I feel...doesnt help that I have a sister in law with a son who will be a year old in a couple of weeks so I always compare but I know I cant....3 months apart doesnt seem like much but it really is in baby time!
