quick update
Babies are here! It has been a rollercoaster to say the very least. Baby boy is having trouble breathing now and they are worried about a pneumothorax. As I type DH is walking him over to the Level II nursery for further evaluation. I can't even begin to type about what happened last night....all I can say is that I spent 4 hours straight crying while they decided if the babies could stay in our room versus being admitted to the level II nursery. Going from babies acting like term babies to acting like preterm babies is an awful feeling. At this point it's anyone's guess when they will be going home.
Babies were born yesterday by c-section at 8:39 and 8:41 AM. Elizabeth Avery and Robert Earl, III (Trey) weighed 4 lb 10 oz and 4 lb 11 oz respectively. I am already doing better with the pre-eclampsia.
C-section recovery has been truly awful today; I am hoping tomorrow is better. I've slept 4 hours in the last 48. I am beyond exhausted.
I will update when I have more info/updates. Much love to you all and thank you endlessly for your support.

I hope they perk up soon. Mine had to go to the NICU on the 2nd day because they kept dropping their temps, weren't eating great, and had elevated bilirubin levels. I felt like a total failure of a mother already, even though I logically knew I wasn't. It just sucks when it was hard to even get pregnant, stay pregnant, and then the punches don't stop coming.
I hope you feel better soon too.
