"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind."

i disagree with the PPs who suggested madeline/madeleine b/c those spellings have a long "I" sound at the end (like "line") and it seems like you want the ending to sound like "lynn".
therefore, i would go with madelyn.
middle name suggestions: grace, elise, nicole, renee, rose.
If you want it pronounce mad-uh-lynn, then I think you should spell it Madelyn. If you want it pronounce Mad-uh-line, then obviously spell it Madeline.
Do not, however spell it Madeline and then pronounce it Madelyn.
If popularity will be factored into your decision to use this name at all, be warned that when you take into account the various spelling variations for this name, of which there are more than a dozen, it is actually the second most popular girls' name. Isabella and it's variations still top the chart at 30,850 girls for last year, but Madelyn was right behind with 29,294.
I consider Madelyn a classic name, so it can overcome it's popularity, but I just thought I'd share that in case the popularity will bother you at all.
To me, Madeline looks like it should be pronounced MadeLINE. Maybe I'm incorrect in that, but if I saw that spelling, I'd be wondering how to pronounce it. I like Madelyn if you're wanting the LYNN sound. The others, I'm not a fan of.

This exactly. That's my niece's name and spelling, and I love it.

Madeleine is actually the French spelling of the name and ends in a -lehn sound, not a long I sound, like the -line ending should be pronounced. No one in the country ever pronounces it right though. IMO, you're most likely going to get the -lynn ending no matter how you spell it.
