I've never heard of Beatrix Potter, but I voted for "Other" because I say it with 2.5 syllables. It's hard to explain, but it's kind of like BEa-trix. You know in school when you learned about syllables, how the teacher told you to put your hand under your chin, and however many times your chin hit your hand, that was how many syllables a word had? Well mine hits my hand twice, with the "uh" part happening in between, on the upswing. I hope that makes sense.

3 syllables. The exception is when I say Beatrix Potter which I then make it two syllables for some strange reason.

Me too! I never noticed that until you said it, though. That is the only time I say bee-trix!

Hmmm... I still say it as Bee-uh-trix Potter.
