Am I Normal?!

Is it normal to itch CONSTANTLY all over your body?  My skin is breaking out, and my doctor assures me that my hormones are to blame for "back-ne" (ewww) that I've never had before now... but, my back legs arms and of course stretching belly all itch outrageously all of the time!  Am I the only one; do you have any suggestions?

  • I seem to remember that.  Just moisturize a lot.

  • I itched like crazy! When that started I also started getting stretch marks. Moisturize!

  • Gee whiz, if I get stretch marks where I am itching, I will have stretch marks on the top of my hands! I've been using cocoa butter, and palmers stretch mark massage cream for my belly; hasn't stopped the itching!

  • my belly itched a lot too.  the good thing is you're almost done and the best cure for all that ails you is having your baby.  hang in there.Smile
  • burts bees baby oil helped me a lot.

  • My last 2 weeks I itched EVERYWHERE, so bad I made myself bleed.  I used so much lotion it still did not help.  It only got worse when they gave me Duramorph right after they sewed me up.  I looked like I walked through a fire.
  • happened to me too. turned out that my body didn't like palmers.

  • I actually bought myself a back scratcher during my 1st pregnancy, because scratching it against the corner of the wall just wasn't cutting it.

  • If you have incessant itching, I would talk to your doctor about PUPPS. Otherwise, yeah, I remember my belly being one big ball of ITCH! The only thing that helped was cocoa butter, and I was an addict, applying it 3-5 times a day. :)
  • My friends have mentioned that this happened to them, but so far so good for me.  As soon as I get out of the shower, I apply a crapton of cocoa butter to my belly (just CVS brand, nothing special).  I've done this since about 16 weeks and I haven't had a problem with itching so far...
