My husband and I are going to try to conceive next summer. I was playing with the Chinese Gender Chart on the Bump and BabyCenter.com. The Bump says we'll have a girl if we conceive in May and a boy if we conceive in June, July, or August. According to the BabyCenter.com, I will have a girl if we conceive from May to August of 2011.
I tested it on 13 of my friends that have had babies recently. The Bump was right 10/13 and the BabyCenter.com was right 9/13 but the Baby Center always says they're going to be girls lol (even for my "test").
I am always researching things and that's who I stumbled upon this chart. Why aren't they consistent? I know it's not guaranteed but they both claim to be the same thing. Did the Chinese Gender Chart work for anyone?
Re: What did the Chinese Gender Chart Say For You?
So I'm assuming you only want a girl? Get over it.
I just wanted to be pregnant. And, FWIW, the bump was wrong for me.
It said I would have ONE girl. ONE.

They are all crap, they really mean nothing since it all has to do with sperm & eggs and not online charts.
With that said, 3 out of 4 said boy with DS and they were right. This time around majority say girl but we won't know til the baby is here.

This. And it was right for me.

I never tried to get pregnant by using a chart.
I will say that it was right for both DS and for this baby. But I know quite a few people that it was wrong for.
The chart varies because of the Chinese calendar year, and how they state age. For example, in China, the year you are born is year one, not year zero. I am 27 in America and Europe, but if I was in China I would be 28. Their year also starts later then ours, not on Jan 1st. So you have to find a chart that is adjusted for both of those things for it to even be an "accurate" reading.

Chinese Gender chart said Girl and I had a Boy.
It says Girl again for this one and I haven't found out the gender yet.
Ha, is this really a serious post? A gender predictor is a bunch of BS. They are there for entertainment and contain no actual relevant information and should not be based off of when trying to conceive for a certain gender.
That being said the chinese predictor thing on the bump said boy and I am having a boy. It also said 2 of my other friends were having boys who are in fact having girls.
Don't try to base any scientific "studies" off of these dumb charts.
I wouldn't put too much stock in this- I believe you will get what you are supposed to have.
But to answer your question, It was right for me.
This. And FWIW, chart said boy and I'm having a girl for sure
Right, fun but certainly not relevant. If I was to look at your method it would prove incorrect as I would have an even number and I'm having a boy.
It said I should be having a boy and I most definitely have a penis growing inside me.
to answer your question it was right for ds, and I don't know about this pregnancy yet.
if you are truly interested in concieving one sex over the other may I suggest www.in-gender.com

It said girl and I am having a boy.
It's fun to play around with, but please don't think it will actually work.
It was right for me, but 99% of the OWT's were wrong.
It was right for DD, but wrong for LO.
It said boy for me and it was right. It was right for 9/10 of my friends as well.
I would not however put any trust in then at all.
this
and this.
Thanks for playing.

I am team green so I play around with such things when I am bored, but If the chart is right for me I have a problem...
It told me based off my LMP(december) that it would be a girl.Based on the actual conception date(january)it would be a boy.
I'm diabetic and have ultrasounds 1-2x per month so if the charts are right, the second baby is hiding itself REALLY well.

Why is everyone so sensitive and snappy? RELAX! I never said I had a gender preference nor did I say my husband and I were basing our time to start trying around what the gender chart said.
My question was, they both claim to be a Chinese Gender Chart but have different results and I was wondering if anyone knew why that is. Someone, nicely, said that is because one is based off of the lunar calendar.
Everyone knows it's not guaranteed... it's a fun game... like reading your horoscope. People (I hope) don't live their life according to what their horoscope says. It's just something fun to do.
I played around with people I knew and it was accurate a large majority of the time. I was just asking around to see what other people's experiences were. Isn't that the entire point of message boards? Even the title of my post said "What did the chart say for you?"
