Nipple color changes? Anyone else? Does it go back?

My nipples were more of a pinkish color before pregnancy. Now they are a light brown color. I plan on bf. Will my nipples ever look the same again?? Did this happen to you?

Its the hormones in your body, completely normal. and mostly likely they will not go back to pink color again.

Yup, same with me. I've read it's normal. Not sure if they return to pre-pregnancy color or not...time will tell.

Mine changed, too. I read in several books that they DO return to the previous color, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Totally normal! I do not know one person that never went back to their normal color. My SIL actually went back to a lighter color after her babies were born.

Mine got very large and brown after DS1. They never returned to normal after that pregnancy, and I am not expecting them to after this one.

My nipples are pretty much the same, however my areolas did darken a lot more, they also got bigger.

This is my 1st pregnancy so I do not know from personal xp if they would go back but if it is genetic then I will not get my hopes up since my mom and grandma said theirs remained the same after their first baby.

Mine became larger and darker after my first pregnancy and while they did lighten in color afterwards (breastfed for 2 years, so the changes are entirely unrelated), they are worse with this pregnancy than they were with the first.

mine got very dark with DS, and larger as well..DH says they went back to normal color, but i dont think they completely went back. with this pregnancy they got larger again and alot darker, we'll see what happens.

As dark as these things have gotten, there is no way they can ever go back to the way they used to be. But at least my husband likes them, LOL!

The hormones are from pregnancy, so they will go back to their normal color after pg - definitely happened to me (the darkening and lightening when not pg anymore).

I have to say mine did go back to pink color with DS. But I have to say it almost took a year !

I am as white as a ghost so my nipples were like a light pink rose color now they look like someone punched my boobies and instead of nipples I have two enlarged black eyes

I hope they just arent this purple brown color anymore id settle on anyshade of red when this is over... even a brown red lol
