NBR: Does anyone know what the name of that high-pitched buzzing bird is?

The one that sounds like electicity?  Driving me crazy!

Or is it a bird?  maybe it is something else?

    LOL @ Nature's Vuvuzuelas!!  So true...soooo true...

  • The locust/cicada?

You see their empty shells hanging out on trees.  Liked playing with those ugly empty shells as a kid.

ETA:  Ugh.  Late response on my part!  That's what I get for opening several windows at once and taking my time responding!

    Ew.  Hahahahah!

  • Those bugs are freakin' huge and their nasty shells used to creep me out as kid. Until YESTERDAY, I didn't even know it was the cicadas' shell.

And until like last week, I didn't even know what a cicada was. Embarrassed I thought it was some freaky mutant bug.
