We are searching different hospitals to deliver in. Anyone have any experience with St. Lukes' Plaze or Northland or any other KC hospital that you would recommend?
FI's two sons were born at Menorah, and he really liked it. That's one of the two hospital's my OB will deliver in, so that's the one we're going with. I haven't had the tour yet, but they seem to have everything I desire.
I will be delivering at St Lukes on the Plaza in a few weeks.
The suckie thing about Plaza is that you are in one room for labor and delivery and then are moved to another room for the remainder of your stay.
And that will still be the case after the remodel is done in September, you will just have a nicer labor room.
Oh, make sure your OB can deliver at which ever hospital you choose, my old OB only had privlages at South which is about 30 minutes from our house so I had to change OB's to one that could deliver at the Plaza.
I delivered at North Kansas City Hospital. I had a poor experience in the labor and delivery room, but the nurses in the recovery ward were great. I'm on the fence about whether I would recommend the hospital or not.
