NBR: What can I make with cream cheese?

DH cleaned out the fridge last night and found not 1, but 2 unopened packages of cream cheese! There is no way I'm going to get through 16 ozs of cream cheese putting it on bagles. We are having a BBQ on Saturday and I'm thinking I could use it to make something for that, but what?

  • Chicken Crecents! They will blow your mind, so delicious!

    2 pkgs. crescent rolls
4 chicken breasts, boiled, or 2 cans chunk chicken
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese
    1/4 C milk
    2T melted butter
1/2 C crushed bread crumbs (opt)

Preheat oven per crescent roll pkg directions. Cut or tear checken into small pieces. Place ina med. mixing bowl. Add cream cheese, butter, and milk and mix well. Separate crescents into triangles. Gently flatten out the widest end of the crescent. Place a heaping tablespoon of chicken mixture in the middle of the flattened crescent. Pull up the two ends and press together to close, then pull up third end and press both sides closed. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and brush with melted butter and sprinkle with bread crumbs, if desired. Bake until golden brown, about 12-15 minutes.

  • Artichoke dip or buffalo chicken dip! The basic recipes I use are below, I tweak them both a bit but not much - they are both awesome, and DH begs for the buffalo one.

https://www.food.com/recipe/artichoke-dip-49063 - I add a bit of worchestershire sauce and a good amount of garlic to this one.

https://www.food.com/recipe/buffalo-chicken-dip-79116 - I use poached chicken breast (hate the canned stuff) and more hot sauce in this. Plus LOTS of cheese.

  • Buffalo Chicken Dip! I am making some Saturday.

This is for an 8x8 dish.

1 8oz block of cream cheese, softened

1 10oz can of chicken (located in the tuna aisle), cut as small as you can

1/2 cup buffalo chicken marinade sauce (not sure if you have access to this, but I use Sweet Baby Rays buffalo wing marinade sauce)

    1/2 cup ranch dressing

1 cup (eye ball it) of shredded colby jack cheese

Layer the ingredients in the order listed. Bake at 350 for 20-25 min and serve with Tortilla chips (preferably scoops!) YUMM-O! I get asked to bring this to every gathering I go to!

    Fruit pizza!!!

    • 1 package (18 oz) sugar cookie dough

    • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese (softened)
    • caramel sauce (optional)

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

On an ungreased medium baking sheet, smooth the refrigerated sugar cookie dough into a single layer approximately 1/4 inch thick.
