Anyone with pessary experience?

I posted last week about my rapidly shortening cervix. It went from 1.2 to 0.5cm in 2 days. 2 MFM and my OB decided a cerclage would be too dangerous with the girls and put in a pessary. Im now at homeon strict bedrest and pretty much scared out of my mind. I know my girls have got to make it 2 more weeks! Anyone know about the pessary and success? Or no cervix success stories? It would make my day!

    I don't have pessary experience but my cervix was 0.8cm at last check which was 2 wks ago and I am still preg on modified bedrest. Plus I had a positive fFN test at 31 wks...

    I have never heard of them using a pessary to keep you from dilating. I work/worked at an ob office till I was put on bedrest too, but they traditionally use pessaries to help women with prolapse issues. I am surprised they used it for pteterm labor. Maybe that is something new?
    I might google it and see if I come up with anything...

    There is a girl on my local board and also due w/ me in September who got one right around the same point you are.  She was on very strict bedrest as well.  She is now about 33-ish weeks.  I'm not sure at what point her cervix was though. Try your best (duh!) to take it easy.
