Never again will I buy CVS brand tampons

Since when does it take two hands and 5 minutes to insert a tampon??

Every day, each time it's been like this. I thought I was being smart and saving money buy opting for the CVS brand over Tampax.

Apparently there's a very good reason I never swayed from Tampax in the past 19 years I've had my period. Angry

    OMG, I'm glad I'm not the only one! I had the same problem last month! I though it was just heavy flow or something stopping it up. geez BTW, this would be an excellent BFP post title. :)

    I sometimes buy the walmart brand (cardboard) and I have the same problem!  It is like there is nothing there to grip, KWIM?  No ridges or anything to hold on to.

    I swear it's like the Tampax gods KNOW or something!!  Every time I "stray" from Tampax I have trouble.  I still have a partial box of the last generic brand I bought- and it's only a partial box because I kept dropping them in the toilet!  Hopefully I've learned my lesson...  Stick out tongue

    Oh man, I do that too! Kinda takes the cost savings away when you do it.

    There is a short list of things I refuse to buy generic because the brand name is just WORTH IT. Tampons are on that list- Tampax Pearl forever baby!!! Wink

    You know what else goes on that list for me? Sour cream. Sorry Publix, but your watery shizz doesn't do the trick KWIM?

    So why did it take so long? Does CVS haev the carboard applicator too? May I'm dumb and I missed that you said it.

    ANYWAY, normally I buy the OB tampons because applicators are not my friend. But they were so not cutting it this time around and I needed a higher absorbancy. Those plastic applicators hurt! Maybe this is why I'm on CD12 and AF is just starting to go away--my vagina is pissed at me for forcing plastic in there.

    They both have the cardboard applicator (I use the regular Tampax usually, not the Pearl) but for some reason these CVS ones will.not.plunge. It's not even that I don't have a grip on it, they just won't go in!!

    Brand name all the way here, this isn't an item to scrimp on for me! I'm kind of digging the new Kotex U - I really liked their ad campaign so I thought I'd give them a try. I enjoy the pretty colors! (Yes, I'm easily amused Big Smile

    I have this problem with tampax... I'm a total dunce when it comes to tampon insertion.... I'll never win the Tampax award. :( lol
