I was gone for the drama. And I'm disappointed in how much some people here will believe, frankly. So the feeling is mutual.
And I stand by what I said. I know without a doubt that there is a new off board (and I'm not unaware that no one has denied it). I find it hypocritical. Considering so many here find the "other" board pathetic because it's a spin off. Yet, that board allows anyone to join (yes, even hippy could join if she wanted). It's not run in secrecy. So, whatever.
I don't believe the existence of another board is the problem. Rather, the behavior of a few individuals who happen to be members of another board.
As far as I know, there are no new boards.

i don't know of another board. i know it was discussed, but i don't think it exists. and from what i hear, the mean mommies board isn't all puppy dogs and rainbows.
i don't know of any EFFers talking sh!t on other people.
Maybe I didn't drink enough coffee. So there's another spin-off board from the spin-off board? The only other board I'm aware of was the one set up to coordinate efforts for Sam. Oh, and the Ravelry chat that anyone can join. Other than that I haven't been paying attention.

I was gone from last Wednesday night through this past Sunday night. I had very, very limited time to be online. I saw references to posts that had LONG been deleted when I got back to my hotel room.
Clearly people on this board have drawn lines. And because I post on the "other" board (along with Kelbrian and AndreaLynn), we are no longer on "good effer" side. And you know what? That's perfectly fine with me (and I can assure you it's just fine with Kel and Andrea too). The MeMo board is not what most of you think it is. It's actually fairly drama free, with little discussion of happenings on the bump. It's no different than this board or the 12-24 month board really. Some baby related, most not, little drama related. But, I'm not going to change anyone's opinion of what it is...and I don't really care to.
If there's a new board, I haven't heard of it yet. And I don't find the other board pathetic because it's a spin off. I find certain specific things about it a tad idiotic, though. I admit - I miss a certain excitement over from 12-24 and the gals who went over to Mean Mommies, but honestly, it's gotten less fun and more vitriolic, and that to me is a waste of time and brain cells.

Go4, I love drama as much as the next person, but I have no flipping clue what you are talking about with posts that were deleted, etc. The only posts that have been deleted recently have been ones pertaining to Hippy drama. Which, quite frankly, I'm not even sure why were deleted since it's just rehashing of the old stuff.
This. I'm totally confused because I don't know about any new boards.

from what I am gathering, there was hippy drama. I read the crap rehashing the drama, hours later.
However, because I post on MeMo, I'm a bad person. That's what I'm getting from all of this. Because I wasn't around for the drama in the first place. I never defended anyone on either side. I can't defend either side. I didn't see any of it. It was all long deleted by the time I heard about it.
You are certainly under no obligation to explain the "Mean Mommies" board to anybody here.
Speaking only for myself, I think that the name of it is really off-putting and implies that it's a place where snarkiness and ridiculing other people is the norm and an accepted (celebrated?) practice. It's hard for me to reconcile a name like "Mean Mommies" with a place of love and light (ha! I watch too much junk tv - anybody get the reference?). Also, it seems like when people come over here from that board (another assumption here from me - I'm not sure that all of them are on Mean Mommies), it's to harass and/or be negative.
I also can't reconcile somebody that accepts (thrives?) on being negative to other people as being a "good EFFer". Constructive criticism, yes. Plain old nastiness, no.
Just my 2 cents.

I for one would be happy to stop discussing Mean Mommies all together, get on with our lives and what not... I don't comprehend why it's worth anyone's time to come over here from there with the sole purpose of drama, but how one can say we're more obsessed with MeMo when they're the ones coming back just to bash people here is asinine.

As others have said, I don't think the issue is the MM board or being a member. I doesn't matter who goes there or to any other board for that matter. The issue is those that are taking part in the harassment of a board member here. It happens to be Hippy.
A huge invasion of women, that are not regulars, coming here to cause drama and be down right cruel is not an accident.
If this were regulars here or even the casual passer by that happened to have a problem with one of us it would be a different story. I think we should be able to express ourselves if wanted, but ganging up on someone (for what seems like 'fun') crosses the line IMO.

I WAS NOT HERE. I don't know how else to word that to make you understand it. I really don't. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I saw NONE of the drama. NONE. Not a word. I can not state an opinion positively OR negatively on anything that was said and/or done because I WAS NOT HERE.

Go4 I think you're getting worked up over nothing. Most of us could not care less what other boards we each post on. As long as you're not c&p back and forth or talking behind our backs about EFF stuff than it really doesn't matter. There is no new extra secret board to the very best of my knowledge and if there is than I guess I'm not a good enough EFFer to know about it.
I don't want to 'take sides' either. Just like I don't care what boards they post on I don't care who my friends are friends with as long as they're respectful of the fact that it is my choice to be friends with whoever I chose.
Now can we please go back to making fun of Juicy Toots and bashing gdiapers cause I sorely miss it. I'm home with a sick kid today and I really don't need anymore mess to clean up.

You guys are hysterical. I don't believe for one second that you are 'disappointed' in Go4 just because she is speaking out. It's because she's speaking out against Hippy, and you all know it. This wouldn't be an issue if she were just slamming the people who dislike Hippy.
It's the same reason why I was called a bad EFFer as well, which is laughable. I kept quiet about Hippy until she sent me a ridiculous email a while back slamming me for 'being associated' with that stupid Trapper Keeper blog, which I never participated in, and slamming a fellow Nestie/MeMo.
Go4, I guess that you have lost your 'moral compass' as well. It's okay. We can be exiled together.

So, you all must have not been on AP when hippy made the comment after my friend Keta's son died, "...and that is why we AP..." She said some other stuff but, honestly I was so upset, that is what sticks out to me. She was basically saying that if Keta had AP'ed, Christopher would not have died and that AP'ers are better parents. It was horrific. Can you imagine if Keta would have seen that? Thank god, the mods deleted it. And hippy was pretty much shown the door from another board.
So please, please, please, do not put hippy on the victim bandwagon. She is the farthest thing from a victim. Don't you think it is odd how many boards hippy has been basically booted from or ran off of?
The common denominator in all this is one person, Hippy. And if you were to open your eyes and really look at all the stuff, then I am sure you would be disappointed in yourself for falling for her lies.

Well this is hippy drama I didn't know about. I'll take it at face value now, but if true, that truly is horrific.
I won't call you stupid. But I think that it is really sad that people still defend and support her after all that she has done. It was really sickening, what she posted about Keta and her son. I don't understand how someone could remain friends with someone after that.
It was also sickening when she was complaining to me about what was being said about her husband and she turned around and made disgusting remarks about another Nestie's husband in the same breath to me.
And don't forget, some EFFers know her in real life. So some people CAN legitimately call her a drug seeker.

It was vile. And Hippy was refusing to delete it. She edited the title to something sarcastic and childish and then finally deleted it after we all begged her to.

Anyway, I think Go4 and I share the frustration that since we both post on MeMo we are getting ostracized by a group of women we care a lot about. Otherwise, why the FB defriending? Why the kvetching about it all? It is just frustrating. We didn't, and wouldn't post anything even remotely like what was posted here.
I respect that this board has decided on a drama free atmosphere. I really don't get the constant re-hashing here or on the google group.
And FTR, the Mean Mommies name is mostly ironic, stemming from the drama-fest in which it was created. There are, obviously, some actual Mean Mommies in the group, but it is actually much more PnR than 12-24 ever was.
Oh, and nothing from the private board was posted on Mean Mommies. That is a line that none of us with 'dual citizenship' have or will cross.
