Do you ever get the idea from your teachers that you're not feeding LO enough? I've added another ounce to my DD's bottles last week and she's done wonderfully. Today I call and check on her and they ask, "Did you not add that extra ounce? She cried when her bottle was done" YES!!! Every bottle has another ounce in it. I'm not adding anymore to it. I feel like telling them to rock or soothe her if she's fussy instead of wanting to shove another bottle in her face. My DD is growing wonderfully and is already drinking 7oz bottles 3x a day at school. Besides she hasn't pooped in 3 days...I'd be cranky too! This just makes me edgy.
Re: I'm feeding my baby enough...I promise!
yep same conversation today with daycare.

7 oz 3x per day seems like too much! breastfed babies always get fussy after the bottle, because they can't "comfort nurse," and it's so different than actually nursing.
we had the same issue with daycare with my DS#1. so far with DD #2, they haven't tried to get me to increase her bottles (she has 3.5oz 3x at school). the most my DS ever had in a bottle was 4.5oz 3x.
check out kellymom.com. there are some good links on there on how to feed a breastfed baby, and also how many oz (estimate) that a BF baby should eat from a bottle.
