Introduction and ? about bleeding after sex

Hello ladies.  I have a question, but first wanted to give a short introduction.  I have been anovulatory since going off BCP in Oct 09.  In June my RE prescribed me Clomid + TI, and I ovulated for the first time in as long as I can remember.  I did not conceive, and took another round of clomid in July.  I did eventually ovulate but not until CD 30.  After a second SA, my RE determined that we are also dealing with MFI and recommended moving to IVF.  We are still trying to decide if we are ready for that step.

So, that's my story.  Here's the question.  I am 5 DPO today, and DH and I had sex tonight and I discovered that I had red bleeding pretty heavily during sex (like soaked the sheets, heavy).  Last clomid cycle I had some light brown spotting starting at 5 DPO, but because my husband was out of town I never had sex again after ovulation (so this is the first time I've ever had sex in my LP).  I don't feel like I'm starting my period, i have not had any flow or discharge since sex. I also don't experience bleeding during sex any other times in my cycle.

I guess I'm just really worried about what could be causing this and if it will be a problem with moving forward to an IVF cycle.  I don't want to jump into IVF if there are other issues that would cause that to fail.  Has anyone experienced bleeding during sex, and if so what were the causes?

    bleeding that heavy during sex is not normal and I would mention it to your RE.  Did you have an HSG and a SHG done before starting clomid?

    I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

    I agree - definitely mention it.
