So remember Eve's bee sting?

It was LAST sunday that she got stung.. It doesn't really seem to be bothering her and I honestly hadn't noticed it all week.. but yesterday DH pointed out to me that its still pretty red and swollen.. and it still is this morning..

should I take her to the Dr if it still doesn't look better tomorrow? I am afraid I didn't get the stinger all the way out or something...  but like I said.. it doesn't bother her a bit..kids are SO tough.. her little knees are all scraped up and that doesn't seem to bother her either.. my poor girl.

  • I would definitely call the dr. and see what they say.  It seems pretty unusual for it to still be swollen a whole week later.

  • I'd probably call the doctor just because it's been an entire week.  I remember my Mom making us soak the bee sting in epsom salt water- have you tried soaking it?  Will she let you soak it?  That might draw out the stinger if it's still in there.
  • Ya I would call.  pp is right that the stinger may be inside still.  They may have you do a soak to get it out or use a drawing salve like ichthammol to bring it out.  But they would be able to tell if it is infected also.  GL!
