Definitely Athena. I hate anything that starts with Alex--not only is it far too popular (ranked #4 when you adjust the SSA list for spelling variations, 25890 baby girls last year alone), but I always think of "Alexia, the inability to read due to cerebral trauma," which is not exactly the meaning I would want to go for.
Being Greek, I am partial to a few others. I am not a fan of Alexandria and I really don't like Athena. I do, however, love Aikaterine (or ending in a), Gia, Elissa, Nikoleta, and Kyriaki.
Re: Which Greek name do you like best?
I like Athena better (only because I HATE Alex or Lexie as NNs).
But have you thought of Thea?
Athena because Alexandria is used more cross-culturally.
Athena is pretty and unique (in a good way).
Thank you! that was my pick, DH is inbetween. I'll tell him it has been unanimous so far.
Thea is pretty, but translated it means "aunt".

Athena is pretty. I have never been a fan of Alexandria.
I LOVE pp's suggestion of Thea. LOVE. It is my top pick for a girls name.

Athena.
I also like another "A" Greek name...Ariadne. Too many syllables for us to use w/ our last name.
