Anyone go from Glyburide to Insulin?

I was diagnosed with GD several weeks ago. I am having a hard time with my fasting numbers so I have been on Glyburide... it seems as if the dose works for several days and then my numbers creep above 90 again.  They have increased my dosage several times already. 

The research I have done online regarding Glyburide makes me nervous.  But my OB and Diabetes Counselor are all for it.  My question is, have any of you gone from Glyburide to Insulin?  If so, at what dosage of Glyburide were you on before they switched over to Insulin?

    I went for fom Glyburide to Metformin to Insulin.  I could not take the pills because I had reactions to both of them.  I know the dosage for metformin is 2000mg, but do not knwo the max dosage for Glyburide. If you go on insulin, it depends on the brand, etc.  I am on humulin R and N.  I take varying doses throughout the day and after 1 month they have regulated my dosage (well for this week).  My bigges shot is my night time shot because my fastings were slightly high.
