Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

If you've moved with a child who has a ton of toys....

How did you move them all?  There is no way they are going to fit in boxes and I really don't feel like taking them apart and then putting them back together.  We're putting everything in storage for a month until our place is ready so I think I may put them in there as is or should I attempt to put them in boxes?  I am so over moving and the thought of having to do it twice in a month is not making me jump for joy even though I know the new place is worth it.

TIA!

  • We're moving next week...and everything is going in boxes. We've got a variety of sizes from Home Depot. I've been throwing stuff in them over the past two weeks until now just his ultimate favorites (mostly trucks and books) are left. I made sure everything that's left is on the small side so I can just throw it in small smaller boxes next Saturday and GO!

Moving blows. Especially moving with a toddler. But our new place is worth it, too!

  • We bought the house we are now living in 8 years ago, when DS1 was 7.   He had a closet literally filled to the brim with toys.  It was TERRIBLE!  We bought lots of huge Rubbermaid storage bins & put them all in those.  That way, the toys we didn't want to go into his new room, went into the basement & they were safe in the bins.    GL!

  • We moved when DS was 12 months,  we put everything in boxes.  We had movers though (work relocated us) so it was their hassle.
