Explosive poop - normal?

When my LO latches on and begins to eat - he immediately has a huge poop explosion - is this normal?  TIA.

    yep...I read something about the connection between the rooting reflex and the sphincter muscle when they are young.... mine does this too sometimes.

    Yep, mine too.  I didn't know there was a connection like PP said, I just thought it was funny that DS's input and output happened at the same time.

    Mine does too. I really like it when she is about the latch on and looks at me and I think we are having a heart connection-type moment and she starts to poop! For some reason she likes to look at me when she does it! It is pretty funny!
