I just found this website and thought I would share. https://www.thefussybabysite.com/causes/high-need-baby
The description fits my DD perfectly and helped me to understand that she definately is different than my friend's "easy" babies. There is also a forum on the site for people with colicky/fussy/high needs babies.
On another note - We brought Kendra to the chiropractor yesterday in hopes that it would help her fussiness. She did need an adjustment in the area of her spine that he says is common for babies with colic. He said we should see an improvement by the next day. Last night she only woke up once to eat instead of five or six times like she had been doing. Right now she is taking a nap that has lasted for 2 hours already. Usually she just takes half hour naps. I understand now that she is high needs and might never be a really easy baby, but I'm hoping this sleep she is finally getting will help her to be less fussy!
Re: Fussy/Needy Babies
DS #1 was a fussy baby turned needy toddler so I understand. It can be horribly frustrating when friends with "easy" babies act like you are crazy about how challenging your kid is or don'tunderstand why you can't just pick up and go anywhere at any time with them.
This is exactly how I feel!
I will make sure to post about how the chiropractor went in a few days.
