Started crying while reading "Love You Forever" to DS

Guess I still haven't beaten those post-partum hormone attacks!

We went to the bookstore earlier today, and I picked up "Love You Forever" (you know, the one that Joey reads to Emma on her 1st birthday on Friends?), and I read it to DS when we got home. Yep, definitely burst into tears right in the middle! Couldn't even finish the book...

Can't believe my baby's going to grow up....stay little forever, sweet baby!

    That is one of my favorite books but I am a teacher and EVERY time I read it (even before DD) I get choked up and teary eyed. I haven't tried reading it to DD yet.... but I'll get there!

    The sentiment behind the book is lovely, but the illustrations make it unbelievably creepy to me. It's one of the few popular books we don't have. lol.

    You're right about that! I raised my eyebrow when I saw the pic of the little old lady rocking her grown son....a bit creepy, but I still cried. ;)

    I don't think it has anything to do with pp hormones.  I still get choked up when I read cards my DD picks out for me or pictures she draws for me, etc.  It's just part of being a mom...you love your babies so much that the sweet sentiments just get to you...it'll happen to you forever, promise!  lol

    i'm tearing up right now, just thinking about it!!! i cry when i read "mommy hugs" and "guess how much i love you?" to ds, too.

    I just bought DD the book "Someday" and I cannot read without crying completely! Its so sweet and sad at the same time! It's centered around a mother and her daughter. I tried reading it to my DD and couldn't finish :(

    Yes!  This one makes me cry too....

    Also, "Mommy, Will You Hold My Hand?"  makes me cry and "Let Me Hold You A Little While Longer" makes me bawl everytime.

    This book is so sweet and always chokes me up.

    "Someday" gets me every time too!!!
