Disneyland question, what hotel..

I have been to Disneyworld more than I have Disneyland. I would like to go back to Disneyland as a family maybe next year. I am wondering what hotels do you recommend nearby Disneyland?

Fairfield Inn and Best Western Main Gate are super close and much more cost effective than the Disney properties which are nice to stay at too.

The Disneyland Hotel is right at the entrance of Downtown Disney (from what I remember when I stayed there 2 years ago)

The Grand Californian has a direct entrance into California Adventure.

Paradise Pier is kind of outside the park.

We stayed at La Quinta which is directly across from the main entrances, and we loved it. good price too!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on Kintella (Kinsella?) It's only like a 3 block walk, and there's a 7-11 right across the street, which is nice for stocking up on snacks!

We have stayed at the one Lizz mentioned. It is on Katella. There are some friends and family deals you can find for the Holiday Inn I've stayed at the Best Western Rachel mentioned. That one is closest and nice. My favorite is Howard Johnson due to the closeness and getting an awesome deal during certain times with an Entertainment card. During certain dates the rooms are $59, $69, or $79 a night depending on what room and view.
