I have Aetna now but switching to Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield cause they are much cheaper. We are paying $1040 a month for my husband and I with Aetna and BCBS is about $780. So our new plan will start 7/31 and thank god we are saving some money

Re: What is your out of pocket to have the baby?
$0.00
dh is in the Air Force. God Bless our awesome health insurance. we never paid one cent for ds's $86,000 nicu bill either.
$225.
There was a $25 co-pay for the first visit to verify the pregnancy. There are no other charges for any of the other visits.
And there will be a $200 facility deductible for the hospital.
I am paying approximately 1 million dollars for this delievery.
Seriously, it's going to be about $5k. DS was $2k for everything, but that was on my old insurance plan. Now that I quit my FT job, I'm on DH's crap insurance.
Zero...I work for a clinic and 100% of my healthcare is covered. Nothing is taken out of my check, no co-pays.
What's the catch? I have to see the doctors at the clinic, and I have to go to the crappy hospital we're affiliated. I don't care at all about my co-workers seeing my junk, and I love that all I have to do is walk from my desk to an exam room for my OB appts. But the hospital is pretty bad.
I'm not in 2nd tri yet, but with my first, I had phenomenal coverage and paid about $300 total. With my second, we were self pay and it was about $6,000. We're in the same boat this time, since the hospital fees have gone up since my 2nd baby, it will probably be closer to $7,000 or $8,000.
Assuming there are no complications, of course.
$11 copay for the 1st (confirmation) visit, everything else is covered 100%.
I hate my job, but at least this part is working out. Unless we change insurance at the 1st of the year, which will be just my luck...
You probably will all think I'm nuts- but I really don't want a hospital birth so I'm doing a birth center where I pay all out of pocket- $5,000. This covers every single one of my pre-natal visits, the labor and delivery, a midwife visit 1 day, 3 days and 6 weeks after the baby is born.
My health insurance pays 100% of my lab work, ultrasound, etc.
At first, my health insurance said they would not cover a penny of the birth center but my midwife said they would send the bills to them anyway and see what happens. They paid about $40 towards the first two pre-natal visits and I just get a refund from my birth center for anything my insurance does decide to pay them.
It would be crazy, crazy cheaper to just have a hospital birth. Probably between 1 and 2 thou.
I have Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and my DH is Navy so Tricare is my secondary. Between the two I pay $0.
I pay about $15/month out of my paycheck in healthcare contributions. There are no co-pays for OB care in my insurance. And even if there were, Tricare would pay them.
Some of you are really lucky with your insurance plans!
I pay $25/biweekly premiums. I had an initial $25 copay for the first OB visit and all subsequent visits are $0. My deductible will be $2500 and coinsurance is 30%. My estimated out-of-pocket (including deductible) will be $3800 for the c-section and 4 day hospital stay.
This. Everything else is covered 100%.
I pay 20%, with an out of pocket deductible of $2000. Once baby is born and is put on my health insurance, out of pocket goes up to $4,000... so the next kid will be a lot more
Sad thing is, I work in healthcare!

I pay $5 per OB visit and the delivery will cost $150 out of pocket regardless of what happens (c-section, drugs, etc).
I get to add the baby to my insurance for $0
We are VERY lucky to have such great insurance!
$0
DH is in the Air Force and I am on Tricare Prime, which doesn't have a co-pay or any out of pocket costs.
$20 one time copay for OB and $100 per day that I'm in the hospital, up to 5 days (if i'm in longer, insurance pays it 100%).
I feel like we pay a lot for this insurance though. It covers myself and my husband, and includes vision and dental, and they take $129.83 out of my check (twice a month).

[spoiler]
My responsibility for my OB was $500 for a c-section.
For delivery, I will pay a $300 co=pay plus 10% of the total bill.
This is flameful, but I have no idea. My insurance has a $3500 out of pocket maximum and that includes anything paid during my OB visits, so I'm assuming $3500 total. I think I've paid about $100 so far for OB visits and U/S. I have an additional $130 to pay, but I haven't technically been billed by my provider. It just showed up on my EOB form a few weeks ago.
Unable to even.

Mine is very similar to this, except the $500 that I paid my OB assumes a vaginal delivery. If I end up getting a c-section, then I'm sure I'll owe my OB more $$.
I will pay $2500 (I think I have about ~$500 to go) to meet my deductible and then 100% is covered.
My monthly premium is $7.
