Now, if your LO doesn't nap, this obviously doesn't apply to you

This stems from the chores thread. I'm just curious to see what everyone does while LO naps.

Me:

I do chores (laundry, cleaning up, prepping dinner). I also come on the nest/bump. Sometimes I'll read or workout.

She usually takes one 2 hour a nap a day, and a few other small cat naps.

I do chores during the first nap. Laundry is done once a week because we don't have a washer/dryer in the apartment Crying

Dishes, sort clothes, vacuum, sweep/mop, and all the extras.

Then during her second nap, I usually read, or get on here, and during her short nap in the evening, I usually get dinner going.

i try to do at least one productive thing a day during a nap. sometimes i get a lot done, but other days i only get 1 load of dishes, laundry, or random picking up accomplished. finn naps anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour, so i never know what i'll get.

other times i neeeed a nap or some me time, so i come on here or just online. for all of the people at work, currently on the bump, i wonder if it would play out differently if you were at home? i KNOW when i worked i surfed the web...but i just don't get those little breaks anymore like i did between work tasks. i didn't realize how much i'd miss them! so yeah, instead of cleaning, i go online sometimes but i did just do two loads of laundry and some dishes, so i feel ok about that

(and i know only some people think more chores should be done by sah peeps, but others think it should be 70/30 or 80/20 "balance" and it just doesn't always work like that.)

LO is napping right now...so obviously I bump during nap time. But today I have also cleaned the kitchen, cleaned out and reorganized the spice cabinet (to make room for tubs of formula lol), gone through all my gift bags...I swear I have 100s and organized them, wrapped DHs anniversary present (its today

, done laundry, and plan to swiffer all the floors (just got the new Swiffer vacuum thing!)

I know I am gonna get judged but DS refuses to nap by himself (trust me I have tried). So I can get a crappy 5 minute nap if I put him down and a cranky baby or I can have him near me and he will sleep for 2 hours. So I keep him on or near me and bump.

Mine only applies to the weekend. I try to get all of the odds and ends done. Cleaning, washing, picking up, catching up on DVR'd things, browser the net..etc. Every now and then we take a family nap.

if i'm at home w/him i use the first nap to work out. the second nap i usually use to check e-mail, pay bills, take care of the dogs (and other animals if needed), and maybe do some laundry or dishes. if he takes a third nap (as of recently he's been skipping this one sometimes) i eat dinner or try to get something productive done.......if i'm tired i'll just relax on the couch or chat w/dh.

I work full time, but two days a week I work from 1 to 10. On those days during his morning nap, I try to sneak in a shower and get my makeup on. Today he is taking his nap early and I'm bumping... Not quite sure how I'm going to get dressed later. My apartment is very small and almost always clean though- not many chores in 1000 sq. ft.

Shower during the first nap! Dishes, email, bump, pick up toys, laundry, or watch TV if I want to relax and not have the 45 minute nap seem like a 5 minute nap. I wish the time didn't fly by so fast during nap time....

I work full-time, and DD only naps in 45 min spurts in the evenings at home, and on the weekends.

I will start dinner, clean up around the house, sit and have a beer, talk on the phone, hang out with DH, shower (on the weekends), basically whatever needs to be done or whatever I want to do during those 45 min increments.

For the first time in a long time, I napped when she napped this morning.

Usually for her first nap, I take a shower and get ready for the day. During other naps I read, go online, or do laundry.
