Black n blue gums...teething

The area where the first year molars come in is black and blue on Landon's gums. It is purple on an area on the upper gums of his mouth. Anyone elses LO had this?

    I was just reading some articles about teething today and it said it is normal to see bluish blisters when a tooth is getting ready to come through.

    I just got done reading some too. My friend said her LO had to actually have his gums cut because they were so bad. Teething SUCKS! Especially with two toddlers!

    Yep, normal - I see it all the time.  If it gets to be a big blister, it can be cut to help it come in faster.  Good Luck!

    Evan's gums were actually bleeding when his top two teeth came through earlier this week! He has two more coming in and it looks like purple blisters...so I guess it can happen on any teeth?
