2nd beta...only 60% increase

in TTC After a Loss

It went up but did not double. Nurse said they're happy with 60% and that's where I'm at, but it just doesn't feel right.

1st beta - 139 (12 dpo)
2nd beta - 231 (14 dpo)

She's offered to do a repeat on Saturday so I don't worry myself into the ground, which was really nice.

    I'm crossing my fingers and toes and sending lots of T&Ps that everything will be fine. You never know, and I refuse to accept this is it! (((hugs)))

    I don't know how this all works, but the first one was really high - is it possible it just couldn't double from that so quickly?  I'm hoping it's something like that!  It was really nice to offer Saturday - are you going to do it?  I'll be praying for you!

    Thats a doubling time of 65.5 hours.  What I've heard is they want it to double within 48-72 hours.  If that is the case, which I'm pretty sure it is, you're perfect!

    this makes me feel better; they always make a big deal about the 48 hours so I thought it had to double within that time frame.  thanks!

    I'll be thinking of you on Saturday with my fingers crossed.  I agree with PP that your first number was high?  And maybe that's why you didn't see the double?  The nurse seemed happy, so I wouldn't worry.  ((hugs))

    This is what I was thinking! It usually doesn't double *exactly* so i'm holding out hope! Sticky sticky vibes to you!!

    My fingers are crossed for you.  I really, really hope that Saturdays beta will be great!!  Like a pp said, I wonder if b/c the first one was so high that is why this one didn't double.  If the dr. says they aren't worried - I would try not to, but I know how next to impossible that is.  I am glad that you can go in Saturday to find out where things stand.  ((hugs))

    48 hours is bunk. Those look like EXCELLENT numbers to me. Yay!

    they should double in 48-72 hours, so I think you are fine.  You had a doubling time of 2.7 days, I would try not to worry
    DD(9)DD(5.5)DS(3)DS(born 2/1/11) July 2006, lost a baby at 8 weeks, natural miscarriage , May 2009 lost Zoe Eliana at 17 weeks no reason known, possible under developed organs. Lost two more babies in September 2009 at 7 wks 4 days. Had myomectomy surgery to remove a large fibroid in November 2009.
