Little ones and bad dreams...

Bella seems to be having more and more bad dreams.  Last night, she seemed to have one very long bad dream.  The first time I went in to her room, she was crying "Daddy, Daddy...Daddddyyyyy" like he was in danger or something.  It was terrible! Crying  She "woke up" several more times throughout the night crying for him or just crying really horribly in general (which isn't like her at all).  We figured it had to be a dream.

It's so heartbreaking -- little ones shouldn't have bad dreams!  Any advice or suggestions on what we can do to limit/prevent the bad dreams?

  • I have no advice. My child woke up the other night screaming: "Outerspace! Outerspace!!"  So who knows what that was about.....

i know it's wrong to laugh, but OMG...I just LOL'd so loud when I read your response!  poor Joe!

  • Do you think she might be too hot?  I know it sounds crazy but when I'm too hot that's when I have nightmares.  DS has been sleeping in cooler jammies because he was having pretty bad nightmares...or at least that's what I thought they were.  Hope you can figure it out soon!

I wouldn't think so, but I guess it could be.  We keep our house really cold at night, but she also has several blankets in there, and I always go in and cover her back up before I go to sleep at night because I don't want her to get too cold.  Maybe I will stop doing that and see if it makes a difference.

I'm willing to try anything at this point.  It's terrible to hear her cry like she is scared...
