    Why are some of the Chinese Gender Charts different?  The one on this site I used to track some of my friends and it was pretty accurate with 13 out of 14 people being correct.

    I have a cousin I try really hard to be close to, since that side of the family tends to be pretty fractured and we are right around the same age. She has 2 boys, and was one of those women who got pregnant right away without really even trying. I told her that we were hoping to sway LO's gender and it prompted an array of comments like "the only way to sway gender is to manipulate the fertilized egg a couple weeks after fertilization to prevent that chromosome from forming" which is just dazzlingly dumb considering that gender is set in place the moment fertilization occurs depending on which chromosome the sperm carries that got through. When I told her to look some things up she proceeded to send me some discouraging articles to support her disbelief.

     I do know that its not an exact science, and that we may end up with a girl anyway, and we are fine with that. We just think it could be fun to see what happens if we encourage a boy. There is nothing wrong with that and its our choice to even try things this way.

    I just wish people could support you no matter whether or not they agree with you, rather than try to bring you down or "educate" you on why you are wrong. (Especially when they are so obviously oblivious to how things work in the first place ;) It feels sucky not to be able to even share things
