I got pregnant with my daughter during the first cycle. She was born Aug 2008. I'm now 32. We are TTC baby number 2. It's been 6 cycles with no luck.
Normally, I wouldn't be really concerned about this. However, my Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor isn't showing any peak days in any of my cycles (it did show peak when we conceived our daughter). I have used a few different OPKs in addition to the CBFM for a few of the cycles (although I haven't really been consistent with those). I'm not picking up a LH surge on anything.
I went to an appt with my OB's physician assistant last month. She ordered several blood tests (testing for levels indicative of PCOS, thyroid, FSH, etc), and all came back normal.
I have an appt. set up with my OB for early September.
Any insight on this situation? I'd like to be as proactive as possible. Have any of you had issues with the CBFM the second time when it worked as it was supposed to the first time?
Re: new here -- any advice
I had trouble with the CBEFM the first time. It was not picking up ovulation even when my RE was with bloodwork and ultrasound, so I am not a fan of that monitor at all.
It is great that you are being proactive, however you do still have some time before I would get terribly concerned. It is hard for women who get pregnant super easily the first time, and then it takes a few months the second or third. Your OB can check to make sure you are ovulating. Are your cycles regular? If so, I would give it some more time.
Good luck, and ask away here if you have any questions about testing or anything!
