So we maybe homeless on August 1st....

The apartment we had lined up fell thru because the tenant is refusing to move out.  We spent the weekend searching for a new place and everyplace we looked at was horrible with sky high rents.  Unfortunately moving in with my dad is not an option because his dog bites and barks so loud it scares DS so it would be a miserable experience for everyone.  My cousin and her husband have offered to let us move in with them until we find something and we're considering because its either that or shell out $2800 for a hotel for the month.  Their basement is finished and has a bedroom, half bath, extra fridge and living room so we would have some private space and share the kitchen upstairs.  She joked that they have the pool up and running so it would be like resort living Big Smile 

Between this, DS being sick for over a week and then having his ear drum rupture and a good friend of mine being killed in a freak accident I don't know whether to laugh, cry or have myself commited these days Sad

    Sorry that you have so much going on.  I would not stress about finding a place if your cousin offered to let you stay until you found something. Keep looking, but you do have a place to go if you don't find something by August 1st.  Good luck looking for a place and I hope your DS feels better soon.

    Did you check out extended stay hotels?  They often offer much more reasonable rates.  Not sure if your in a suburb of Boston or in the city, but it may be a better alternative:)  GL

    Ugh, I'm so sorry. ?Sounds like you should take your cousin up on her offer. ?I hope everything gets better soon. ?And I'm very sorry about your friend.

    I am sorry you have so much stress and crap going onin your life. I hope it calms down an dyou can find a place to rent, if not you cousin's place sounds okay for a month or two.

    That's awesome of your cousin. With everything you're going through, maybe there's a reason you're supposed to be close to her for a month. We've had friends move in with us temporarily while going through difficult times, and it was actually a really amazing experience to be so close to them again, and to be able to help them in some way.
