Woombie

Hi everyone,

My DS has to be double swaddle or else he just kicks and struggles around.  The regular swaddleme doesn't cut it and neither does the sleep sack.  Right now we are putting him in a swaddle me and then swaddling again in a receiving blanket.  This is the only thing that works, but it is so freaking hot, I know he is getting overheated.  I am thinking about buying the woombie, but not sure if this will do the trick.  What do you think.

  • my son still gets his hands out of the collar of the woombie, but can't get his whole arm out! so it has sorta helped. good luck!

  • We got a standard woombie and it's less restrictive than the tight swaddle we use with our enormous receiving blankets FWIW. Maybe try the l'il houdini woombie?
  • I was so disappointed in the woombie. DS needs a tight swaddle and for him the woombie was a major failure.

We got DD the summer woombie cuz I thought it'd be too hot otherwise, and it does work in that she can't get her hands out.  HOWEVER, it's really stretchy so she can really move them all around inside.  I don't know if she likes it that much.  She tolerates it if we put it on her when she's tired, but if she's wide awake, she'll fight it.

  • I'm in love with the woombie...  I had started out using the miracle blanket.  I had a tough time getting her swaddled tight in there (she'd fight the whole time), so she'd always bust out.  And it was a pain to swaddle her.  I tried the woombie and it's sooooo much easier.  She sleeps the same amount in the woombie, so I'm pretty much done with the MB.
