Is there anything that can be done to rice to make it better, but still BRAT diet friendly? This is my first experience with this "diet", and I'm feeling a little discouraged about my eating choices for today.
What about adding a little nutmeg to the rice? I've never tried that, but I was thinking it might be like rice pudding without the pudding. You could maybe add a little applesauce to it as well.
I'm not sure what the BRAT diet is, but here is what I do with rice:
I don't care for plain rice (white or brown), so when I am cooking it, I add one cube of the Wyler's Sodium Free Chicken Boullion Cubes. I always cook the 15 min or 20 min rice. I don't do the instant rice, its too mushy to me.
I have used the cubes both for the rice thats in the bag, and the rice you just pour into the pot with water.

BRAT is bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast. It's what my Dr. recommended I do for today, and possibly through the weekend, because I seem to have gotten either a stomach bug, or I've eaten something that made me sick.
Re: BRAT diet question..
Mustard and sauerkraut? Oh wait... never mind!
