I babysit for 3 families in my home and am trying to put together a contract. What Holiday's is your daycare closed for and do you still pay for those days even though there closed?
We pay only for days that DD attends, including any days that we keep her home but the daycare is open. But I have found that is a rarity, a lot of places charge the same weekly fee even if there is a holiday or if the parents keep the child at home that day.
We pay weekly. So if 1-2 days that weeks is a holiday, we still pay the week rate. We get one week a year for vacation when we don't pay but have to give a two weeks notice.
We pay weekly regardless if it is a holiday or they are home sick. There are three weeks we do not pay, but that is when they are closed. One in the spring, one in the summer, and one in the winter.

In reading responses I'm not sure you really got the answers you were looking for. The holidays that my daycare is closed is New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day.
I pay for all holidays she is closed. In her contract she has 10 personal days as well. She will take 5 (as vacation) and I pay for those. The other 5 really are there as sick days or days she may need off. Anything over 10 personal days I don't pay for.
If my kids are sick or I need to pick them up or keep them home for some other reason I still pay for them (as if they were there).
Personally I'm looking forward to them being in school -- the costs will drop considerably for daycare.
Our in home DC takes the following holidays and we pay her for them. DD goes 4 days per week, and so every month I just look at the calendar, count up the number of days this would be, multiply by the daily rate, and write her a check, even if we are going on vacation and she won't be there or she is sick or something.
However, our DC provider does take 6 weeks (yes, I know, a ton) of vacation every year and it is unpaid for her, so those months we pay less (we usually try and schedule our vacation for these same times since she gives us a calendar at the beginning of the year). She is closed New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve and Day.
