Well my first ART cycle canceled already, and it's only CD6.
I had a repeat HSG today and I definitely have uterine adhesions, so my RE said that I will need to have them removed via hysteroscopy and that following the surgery I will have to take hormones to build up my lining and that usually takes 2-3 months. AND that they rarely get them all in 1 surgery, so it will probably be TWO surgeries.
And that, guess what? They don't do them anymore, so back to my ob/gyn I go.
I took Clomid yesterday, and he said to stop taking it and that we won't be doing the IUI. I mean, I get it, but wah!
She just released me to go to an RE in May and now he's sending me back. So not only am I crushed to have my long-awaited IUI cycle canceled, but now I feel like no one even wants to treat me.
The thought of having to endure two more surgeries and waiting another 6 months is just ... ugh. I am so tired of waiting!
Discouraged today.
Anyone here had a hysteroscopy for adhesions? Tell me about it?
Re: Cycle Canceled -- Hysteroscopy?
TTC since 2007

IVF #2 Aug 2011 is a BFN:<
IVF #3 March 2012 is a BFN
Not sure what to do now. Sad and lost.
I had a hysteroscopy and d&c to have a uterine mass removed..we were able to to cycle the next month though...I guess maybe it is different with the adhesions?
TI, IUIs, IVF = c/ps and BFNs
i just had a hysteroscopy on friday but it was just to check it out, i wound up having a polyp removed.

I am having a hysteroscopy to remove a polyp in August. How was the procedure and your recovery? I am nervous, and bummed, as I wanted to start my first Clomid cycle. Any insight is very much appreciated!
Thanks!
one of my cycles was canceled for hysteroscopy too. I didn't have adhesions.
I hope you can get treated asap and back to ttc.
I had a hysterscopy to remove scar tissue from my D&C. IT's a farily simple procedure. It is best to have your lining as thick as possible. I know it's hard to wait...but you want to be sure to have your best chance possible for implantation. It is always easier to give advice then receive...I know. I have had my cycles cancelled 4 times due to sucky lining. So, I feel ya girl.
Best of look and keep you chin up sweety.
DX w/ Protein S Deficiency and unexplained thin lining
Multiple D&C's, Hysterscopy for removal of Scar Tissue, Endometrial Biopsy, 3 BFN FETs, including a year of cancelled due to lining issues (ranging 4.5 to 6.4),
Procedure of arcuate uterus, Shocking lining development...9.2.

Thanks everyone. I know in grand scheme it's not much more waiting, but today I just feel like I've been waiting forEVER. I have friends who started trying the same time as us, went through IF treatments and ALREADY have their babies! That just feels insane to me.
And I had this deadline in my head of making my husband a father by his 40th birthday (summer 2011), and that is now out the window.
Thank you. And maybe it won't take as long to get my lining back up to good quality? Maybe it won't be a 6 month wait? I can hope.
