Watermelon

I think I would be happy if i was just constantly eating watermelon right now.  It's so sweet and delicious, and it makes me feel cooler and hydrated in the heat and humidity.  It must be the most amazing thing ever.  Yay watermelon.

That's all.

  • Oooh, lemonade sounds yummy too.  Today at lunch the place that I went to (D'Amico's in Roseville for those who may be in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area), they had homemade basil lemonade, so YUM!  AND, they served it in this little pitcher so you could pour it over ice by yourself, so cute.

Anyway, back to watermelon.  I did a little research (since I have eaten so much watermelon that I'm surprised I'm not turning into a green melon with a red fleshy interior).  Apparently one slice of watermelon (approx 1/16th of a giant melon) has:

    Nutrition Facts
    Serving Size
    1 cup, balls (154.0 g) 1 cup, diced (152.0 g) 1 melon (15" long x 7-1/2" dia) (4518.0 g) 1 wedge (approx 1/16 of melon) (286.0 g) 10 watermelon balls (122.0 g) 1 NLEA serving (280.0 g)

So eat on ladies, and enjoy!!  (I'm sure peaches and cantaloupe are good for you too :) )

  • Ohhhh yessss to the watermelon! I have been watermelon deprived here since ours are the size of cantaloupes and not nearly as juicy and sweet as back home.
