So I have worked Customer Service jobs for 5 years. Usually I can handle people yelling at me, but lately I have been an emotional train wreck. I get really rude calls everyday. Somedays these people put me into tears they are so mean. Is anyone else working a CS job too? How do you deal with this? It is weird to cry at work.. but they all know I am pregnant.
Re: How do you work CS jobs while pregnant?
Sometimes I just want to scream at them. "You're a bad person. Why would you yell at a pregnant woman!" Haha... luckily I have a good office environment I can vent to.
I worked CS during my 1st pg, and don't exactly recall how I dealt with the emotions, but I do remember one instance where I got cussed out over the phone and when I hung up, I just lost it. Luckily, my boss was very sympathetic and let me go home for the day. It took me well over 2 days to get over it, which is silly, I know.
But I love the PP advice on staying positive and remembering it's the hormones that are causing most of the emotions. Good luck!
I work in what I guess would be considered a CS job. For the past two days, I have wanted to strangle people over the phone. I don't get teary-eyed until I'm at home though.
Glad I'm not the only one who is riding an emotional roller coaster! No one around me seems to understand.
