Any sleeping suggestions?

I'm trying to get used to sleeping on my side, but as a 100% back sleeper, this is like torture!  I've tried using pillows in all different places, but I am waking up with awful back pain regardless of what I do.  Anyone have any good tricks they are using to stay on their side?

  • I got the Snoogle, and although it is giant, I absolutely love it.  I am a stomach sleeper, and it keeps me on my side.

I don't have one as I already sleep naturally on my left side but I have heard rave reviews from a few of my friends on this as well.

  • I have the Boppy Total Body Pillow. It is great! Keep in mind these kinds of pillows you will wake up because they don't let you get into the position you want. Our babies are not big enough to compress the vena cava and cause problems yet. I have kind of relaxed a bit on this and don't worry if I wake on my right side, back or stomach. What I have read says your body is smart and will change positions when/if this problem occurs. I am kind of enjoying my last nights of back and belly sleep while I can! What's funny is DH stealing my body pillow if it is in the middle of the bed, lol!

  • I'm just working with 3 different pillows - one under my head, one between my knees, and one I sometimes "hug." Then I can ditch one if its not working for me.  It took a while, but last night was the first decent sleep in quite a while.
