I use liners. I can honestly say I know I'm not coordinated to use a sprayer - I would have poopy water all over the bathroom! The liners work fantastically for us and we don't go through them too quickly because the pee ones wash up and can be reused. We only flush them when they're poopy.
For the peanut butter poo stage, we had the flushable liners. Then, I got tired of having to buy more, and we switched to fleece liners which are totally reusable, but still let the poop fall of SO much easier than the natural fibers do (we don't use them in anything with microfleece or microsuede, as everything comes off those fabrics pretty easily - just use them with our pfs, fitteds, etc). I will probably buy some flushable liners for child #2 when the time comes. The fleece liners are pretty good, but it's not as easy as flushables, I admit. The idea of the diaper sprayer has always kind of skeeved me out - splash back and what not...
Note - you don't need anything for nb phase, if that's when you're asking for. If your LO is EBF, all of that is completely water soluble, and can go in the wash.

we use liners, occasionally. I know DD will poop in the morning so I put a liner in then, and she also does a mid morning poop and gets one for that. The rest of the diapers are linerless and generally poop free. We used to flush in our condo, but now that we bought a house, with septic, we just throw them away. I prefer to flush, but the liners we have aren't sepctic safe
And with the delivery trifecra of one twin vaginal, one c-section with general anesthesia for twin B, Spencer and Sidney joined us at 35 weeks exactly on June 18.
Diaper sprayer all the way. We get no splash back, gets the diapers pretty clean adn we don't have to keep buying anything. I'm not to fond of dunk and swish.
Thanks all - I guess a ticker would be helpful - my kid is 5 months old, so I am thinking ahead to solids and trying to get prepared.
Good points about splash back on the sprayer! I guess I will order a roll of flushables to start and see how it goes. CD'ing is all about trial and error anyway, right?

We used liners for like a month and found them to be a PITA, but by then the PB poo stage was over. Since then we use TP to scrape only if we have an icky sticky poop, and we don't have them very often at all. And sometimes we will soak a bit, but most of the time now that she is on solids, neither sprayer nor liners are needed and we don't have issues with stink or funk.

Bummi's has septic tank safe liners. I use them and find they do a good job.
I use the Cutey Baby liners and LOVE them! I wash the pee ones and toss or flush the poop ones. We have had great luck with these and highly recommend. Haven't tried a diaper sprayer, seems like a hastle to me since I would be dripping water back to the bedroom where his diaper pail is.
Cloth diapering is definately trial and error! Hope you find something that works!
I don't use either. I bought liners, but never used them, seemed like an extra step that really wasn't needed. I just dumped in the toilet or if I had to swished them holding one side. I've heard too many leaky diaper sprayer posts to feel comfortable with them.
