Why a wipes solution?

I have just been using water to clean DD's bottom at every change. Should I be using a wipes solution, is it to moisturize? If so, what brand is recommended, or is there a home recipe?

Its a matter of personal preference - we added a couple of drops of tto for the antimicrobial properties but a lot of the wipe solutions say to use soap which then you don't really rinse off so not sure that's the way to go

We just use water and have not had any problems.

We use a teeny tiny squirt of baby wash in a big plastic wipes container full of water... I honestly don't have a good reason for using anything but just water- it's just what we've done since we started using cloth wipes
