When people say they're starting LO on solids I always think they mean baby food, but am I wrong? Do they mean ACTUAL solid, grown up food? Just wondering!
They mean rice cereal/oatmeal and/or pureed fruits and veggies.
This is not correct. What is correct is what PPs said; not BM or formula. We are skipping cereal/ostmeal and purees and going straight to vegetables in a few weeks (at 6 months).

anything other than BM or formula. Rice cereal is a "solid."
But yes, many do start with "adult" foods and skip purees.
No, their digestive systems can't handle a hamburger or pasta.

I don't mean "most" or even "half." But BLW isn't that uncommon
