For some reason, when thinking of girls names, it is much more difficult for me than coming up with ones for boys. Does anyone have names already picked out if their LO is a girl? My husband loves the name Alice and I like the name Vivienne but I don't feel %100 on either.....any thoughts?

Re: Pondering Girls Names
It's the opposite for me. Girls names are easy, boys are difficult.
Coincidentally, Vivienne is my number one choice. I also love Sadie, Evangeline, Fiona, Bonnie after one grandmother and Addie after the other.
I have had my names for a long time and love to blab them to anyone who'll listen!!!!
For a girl: Jackie Lucille a.k.a Lucy
For a boy: Donald Dresden a.k.a Donny
They are all family names so it was super easy! I'd really like to include Bence in the boys name but I don't know if three names will be too much?!
Alice and Vivienne are beautiful names!!! I like Vivienne the most
My favorites were Chloe and Olivia -- DH told me Chloe sounded like a stripper name (I 100% disagree and have no idea where he got that) and my sister about cried when I told her I was thinking about Olivia because its "her name and it has been forever" but she never told anyone. So I have nothing.
I also really like Addison, Emery, Avery and Abigail but due to friends and family using them they are all out.

Sadie is such a sweet name!
I'm just the opposite! We've had a girl's name picked out since about 3 days after my BFP. As of now it will be Cadence Rian.
I really want to use an Irish name, because our last name is Irish and DH is very proud of his heritage, but I haven't found a boy's name I love! Although DH stumbled upon Torin today and I kinda like it.
For me boys names are really hard with three boys already I feel like I am running out of boys names.
Girls names I love Shannon, Sadie, Sara, and Sophie.
My boys all have s names so we are going to stick with that, we already have a Sean, Samuel, and Stuart. Now we are thinking about Steve, Sebastian, Scott, and Salamon.
Names are so hard. We wait until they are born to see what they look like to actually give them a name and the other boys will get a vote.

We had alot more trouble figuring out a boys name. I think we have finally reached names we both like, just hope I don't change my mine in the next 9 months.
Girl: Hayden Olivia
Boy: Wesley Bryant
We have had our girl name picked out since before we even started TTC. Her name will be Heidi if baby's a girl (middle name probably Cheyenne). My husband and I both LOVE that name. The boy name is the one we fought over! We finally settled that too though. If we have a baby boy he will be Manning Thomas.
I think if you aren't 100% to keep searching names until you find one you are sure about. I can't even imagine my 1st little girl having any other name than Heidi. You'll eventually find something you love and you'll know it's right!
I actually have a harder time with boys names than girls because I can think of at least one person with each name that we like who I do not want my kid to be like and it's hard to get over.
For a girl we are going with Maricela. I can't figure out a middle name though.

For a girl, we love Juliet, but middle name is undecided.
For a boy, my DH insists on Homer and has since we first started dating. He's a huge baseball fan...swears it has nothing to do with the Simpsons. At least it's unique...

I'll hold you in my heart until I hold you in heaven.
boy names were easy we decided on
Nicholas James (middle name after both his grandfathers)
for the girl we struggled and compromised by combining both our first choices
Alissa Mackenzie (middle name is my moms maiden name)
We have a much harder time on boys' names!
So far our frontrunners for a girl are Greta, Lucy and Adele. We have reached no consensus on boy names yet.
Grayson is the name we picked for a boy after DH's dad... who was Randolph Gray (<----a family name)! So our LB will be Grayson Randolph. Definitely good taste
We are both of German/ Scandanavian decent so we are looking at more heritage names. Middles are decided no matter what. Girls middle is mine and my grandmothers middle with Eilene, and boys is Arthur after his dad. If we are blessed with two boys the second will be after my dad and be Timothy
Well we really like Kiersten, but I am getting vetoed by family left and right.
I like the the name Liesel Eilene DH doesnt like Liesel
Boy right now is kinda up in the air but I am absolutely love the the name Liam Arthur
Second boy would be Auxle Timothy. ( I get growns on that one but its a family name and I love it!)
We have had a girls name picked out since we got our dog 3 years ago. We love the name Kendall Renee (or Nichole).
Boys names we are having some issues with!
We had this issue with my MIL, she is opinionated and says whatever comes to her mind..Finally DH just said to me to ignore her its our baby and we will name he/she what we choose and once the LO is born they will be in love and not care about the name.
Tatum Leigh or Lynnlee Faith are my girl names and boy names are Aiden Turner or Bryson Lynn
1st choice Marleigh Francesca.
If we have two little ladies our second is Kyleigh Madison.
The baby girl names I'm loving right now are:
Emerson, Molly, Gianna, Vivienne, Madeline, and Lucy.
Can't think of a single boys name. Uh oh!
BFP#1 5.27.10 DS became an angel at 21 weeks on 9.22.10
BFP#2 4.16.11 Healthy baby girl born 12.14.11
BFP#3 9.3.12 A healthy, bouncing baby SISTER on the way! EDD 5.12.13
They don't like it? Kiersten is a front-runner for us. We loooove Lily, but I'm afraid it's too common right now. I don't know.
There are lots of girls' names we like, but boys' names are kind of boring. It doesn't matter, though, bc if it's a boy, it will probably be named Daniel for my recently deceased FIL (prob first name, if not, then def middle name).
DH and I can only agree on one name for each sex.
Boy: Connor William
Girl: Lynaea Hazel
Middle name for girl is for DH's grandma that has passed and middle name for boy is after both soon to be grandpa's.
Girl: Mia Elizabeth or Hadley Elizabeth
Boy: Carsten James or Nolan Joshua
My hubby likes Abner for a boy...yuck
This is exactly why we didn't tell anyone the name of DS before he was born. We told everyone it was a boy and they could wait to be surprised by the name. It allowed us to name him whatever we chose and not have to deal with their opinions. I mean, once he was born, most people were just so excited to see him, they wouldn't say a word if they didn't like his name. We'll be doing the same with this LO.
we have a few names on the table We both really love Noah for a boy but I can't use it in good conscience. BIL has two kids A&N. We have DS who is an A and I can't name my second child N in which case we would have children with the same first initials.
boy- evan & liam
boy- rachel or rebecca, though I really love the name Isla. MH said it was not too bad.
It's the opposite for us - we decided on our girl name when I was about 2 minutes pregnant but cannot agree on a boy name.
We picked Olivia Anne for our girl name.
Our #1 Girl's name is: Elizabeth Marie
I'm also having a hard time coming up with other girl's names that we like, so far I've been throwing these ones in the mix: Madison, (if dh was more italian, i would use Francesca), Marissa
I seriously don't think anyone would think ANYTHING about your having children whose names start with the same initials. It seems like a total non-issue to me. If you love Noah, use Noah.
