we are still dealing with DD and her reflux.. I am on day # Idon'tevenremember going dairy free.. it's not as hard as I thought it was going to be.... I just need to remember to buy calcium citrate and I should be all set..
DS started having bouts of screaming crying.. where he would get all sweaty, spit up clear mucous, and eventually lost his voice from screaming.. after a few days of this on and off we called the peditrician who told me to take him to the ER.. they were concerned about his hernia (they thought maybe he had a bowel obstruction) turns out they diagnosed him with "infantile colic" so poor guy has shed a LOT of tears.. we've tried gripe water and Hyland's colic tablets.. we see the pedi tomorrow for a follow up.. I hope he outgrows it fast! ugh
Re: another baby bear update
How the fark did the nest do this?! Sorry, response to another post.
Poor babies
When you're not too busy, I have a pkg that needs to find it's way to you, but it has no address.
I had to eliminate dairy and soy from my diet for DD's first year. DD still nurses, but tolerates moderate amounts since she nurses less and is on solids also. It was SO worth it and wasn't the end of the world once I got used to it.
The thing I wanted to tell you is that if you aren't already taing Vit D, please consider adding it. I didn't even think about it until I was so exhausted that my dr. ran a bunch of tests and found that my Vit. D was severly deficient.
If your LOs symtoms don''t clear up 100% you might want to try eliminating soy. I think something like 70% of the people who are intolerant of dairy, also can't tolerate soy.

Sorry I'm a loser. LOL
I'm glad the dairy free isn't as bad as you imagined. There will be tough days but you'll get through them.
I hope they both improve soon!
