Babies: 9 - 12 Months

i blame the interwebs

yes i do.

when i had my first son, we didnt have a computer. i recieved advice from my mom (only when i  asked, she rocks) and my ex's mom and of the course the pedi. i was so laid back back then and i'm pretty sure its b/c i didnt have the good ole www to freak me out.

i was also younger, 22, (young in my book), so that may contribute to it too.

joshua has grown up just fine, healthy as a horse. a pretty damn good kid if i say so myself.

now this kid, i obsess over EVERYTHING. my h fed him some madreian (sp) oranges last night and i looked it up today and i freaked, not suppose to get acidic foods until 1 yo.

is matthew fine? yup. where i am going with this you ask, i dont know. just rambling i suppose.

on another note, matthew is quite ticked at me at the moment. i put up a baby gate to keep him out of the kitchen, he is currently over there banging on it and screaching.

  • I agree. Sometimes a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. And a lot of little knowledges is downright scary.
  • I know what you mean. I had Andrew 7 years ago (birthday this weekend Crying ) and was only 16 and hey! he survived and is a great kid.

Chase, I am so over protective. Okay, not really. I still break the rules and even gave him mashed potatoes last night. I tend to freak out over stuff, then I step back and realize, I am doing a good job. He is okay. Happy & Thriving.

  • I hear you.  I was 20 in 1993 when my daughter was born.  I don't even remember if the interwebz was around then.  If it was, it wasn't the plethera of info on everything from soup to nuts that it is now.  I depended on my instinct, my mom and the pedi (sometimes) for info/advice.  I was also younger and more 'green around the ears'.

Fast forward to Ben and I am much more inclined to do research on something vs. taking it at face value.  For the most part, it's a good thing I think.

     So, I hear you.
