I posted a couple weeks ago about wanting to break our lease because we have the noisest neighbors ever who wake us up on weeknights several times a week with their parties, etc. Well our A/C is only working about 80% of this time now and of course it stops working in the afternoon on 100+ days like clockwork. I don't know if or when the owner is going to fix it. The A/C company said it was plumbed wrong and is tripping the auto shut off and needs to be completely re-plumbed, I can imagine that is pretty pricey and that they have known about it since we are not their first tenants.
So this weekend I was talking to a friend who used to be a property manager and she said I can break my lease for medical reasons if my doc will write a note to that affect. So I called my doctor and asked if they would write a note saying that I can no longer live in a 2 story because it is causing complications with my RA. This is true but I had just planned to tough it out until our lease was up. At this point I can't even carry anything up the stairs because of the stress it puts on my leg joints so DH has to carry groceries, laundry, basically everything except my purse.
So keep your fingers crossed that they will be reasonable and let us out of our lease. We found a 1 story place this weekend that we really like so I am hopeful that we can just get out of this place and move on asap.
I know this is super long and has nothing to do with IF thanks for letting me share
