Balboa Baby Slings?

What is your opinion on these slings?  I'm looking to use it for the front facing and hip carrier positons, but I am clueless on what to look for in a sling.

    I have it.  DD never really liked it and it wasn't the most comfortable thing for me.  I LOVE my Maya RS, though.

    I don't like any sling with padding, so this would be out for me.

    It didn't work for us and I'm really surprised it's endorsed by Dr. Sears.  I went through a lot of carriers before finding what works for me...my ergo and a few ring slings from

    You will find carrier reviews and possibly a local babywearing group near you on thebabywearer.com.  If you can find a group, you may find someone who has one you can test out before you buy it.  If you're looking for a padded sling...Jan from Sleeping Baby Productions also recommends the Maya lightly padded.
