Dr. Awadalla?

I've been referred by my OBGYN to a fertility specialist, Dr. Awadalla. Does anyone have any experiences with him that they can share?

Re: Dr. Awadalla?

  • I don't see him, but I've heard nothing but great things about him and Dr. S.  There's quite a few girls here that go to him, so I'm sure they'll be along to share their experiences!

  • I saw more of Dr. Scheiber (the other doctor in the same practice) but Dr. Awadalla did my embryo transfer during the IVF cycle that resulted in my youngest son!

Highly recommended by me and several others on the board... Asphire, Sara401 and Mrs.Babbsy just to name a few, all have little ones that Dr. Awadalla and Dr. Scheiber helped bring into the world!

Let me know if you have any specific questions and I'm sure some of the other ladies who've seen them will chime in this post as well.

  • I saw dr. awadalla and had a great experience :)  We got pregnant with IVF #1.  Both he and Dr. Schreiber are great... but I mostly saw Dr. Awadalla.  I have nothing but good things to say about him and our experience with that doctor's office.  Maybe my one piece of advice with him would be to ask lots of questions if you want more detailed info... just because sometimes he had a tendency to just tell me "everything looks good!" and not elaborate unless I specifically asked.  (i.e. wouldn't tell me my specific blood level counts unless I asked... would just say it was "good" or "high" etc... and I want to know the number...But maybe that's just me! ;P)

  • I have nothing but great things to say about both Dr A and Dr S. I mostly saw Dr A, but did see Dr S once. I was very fortunate to have a short time with them, but I will be going back to pay them a visit again very soon. I have PCOS which is why I was seeing them. We were fortunate like I said to get pregnant on our 2nd cycle. We used Femera (similar to Clomid you may have heard of) as well as an Ovidrel shot and Timed Intercourse. I saw them a few times previous to my pregnancy for consults on top of the actual treatment cycles.

  • Sorry... my PC went crazy and I got cut off mid reply...

Unfortunately my pregnancy ended due to pPROM which had nothing to do with the care that I received from Dr A. Once we are able to begin trying we will be seeking their treatment once again.

Best of Luck! They are really great!

  • Love them! They are awesome doctors. I preferred Dr. S over Dr. A, but both take great care of you. Feel free to ask questions, I did 6 iui's, lap and had success with IVF #1. I've been through it.

GL, it's a scary call to make, but once you do you will feel good, but overwhelmed.

Please ask questions! I love being here for those going through IF. There is hope!

DItto this exactly.  Love them both, but ask questions if you want more than looks good.  :)

  • I'm 5 months pregnant with a girl now thanks to IRP and Dr. Awadalla in particular.  I went through almost two years of treatment there.  They are awesome.
  • Thank you everyone for the input... It is much appreciated! I called this morning to schedule my initial consult.

    Have a great day! Smile
